Biography

Wendy De La Rosa's research interests center on applying behavioral science to improve consumers' financial well-being. De La Rosa explores the complex link between thoughts, judgments, and subsequent behaviors with a great interest in how people think and utilize their resources.

With her work appearing in prestigious journals like the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal for Consumer Research, De La Rosa has gained attention for her groundbreaking research. Major media outlets like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, CNBC, Forbes, Scientific American, NPR, PBS Newshour, and TechCrunch have covered her thought-provoking results.

In addition to her accomplishments in academia, De La Rosa has made a substantial contribution to raising awareness of the relationship between money and psychology. She co-created and hosts "Your Money and Your Mind," a popular TED series with over 7 million views. She is also a founding member of the Common Cents Lab, a website whose goal is to use behavioral science findings to enhance financial decision-making.
